Title: Aerial target - Dual wielding slings
Post by IronGoober on Jun 26th, 2020 at 2:19am
Ok. So not really. Not passable as dual wielding. But this was stupid fun (i.e. very fun) to try.

Took me about a dozen tries before I was ready to try filming. Spoiler, I didn't score a single hit.

😄 Das iss nicht einfach. Respekt. Ich habe das auch schon versucht. Das gab aua für die Ohren. 😁
Ich trainiere ein zehn Jahre altes Menschen. Sie kann links und rechts gleichermaßen gut. Auch slingen.
Es erfüllt mich jedesmal mit tiefer Achtung.

Wow!  There's some crazy training of the left and right side of the brain at the same time!  Nice attempt man!  I've got a couple aerial target videos but always just threw the target into the air.

This is, for sure, the basis of a killer low-budget action flick.

Haha, yes. The villian stands there pointing a gun at the hero, not knowing the left hand release was YESTERDAY! and gets knocked on the head as he is explaining his diabolical plan. Then the hero slings with his right to stop the evil machine from drilling into the core of the earth, or shooting the moon out of the sky...etc.  Sounds like a B (or even C) movie to me.

I've only just about got the coordination to use one sling. Very well done!

I've practiced a bit slinging with my left before, so that part was out of the way.

But, I think you could surprise yourself. The trick is to be able to do two things at once. If you can pat your head and rub your stomach at the same time, you can do this, certainly.  Once the left hand releases, it is just like normal slinging, feels no different. The only hard part is keeping the rotor going when slinging with the off-hand, but once that's over... easy as pie (piece of cake?).  It actually looks a lot more effortless than it felt. I thought I was going to look like a graceless bovine.

Sorry I use so many idioms, my wife pointed out that I do that, but language just isn't as fun without them.

I would watch the hell out of that movie.  ;D

Kudos for trying something supremely difficult.  I would probably injure myself if I attempted to sling left handed.
