Winter is upon us and many of us will be getting snow soon if you haven't already. Having an adequate snowball sling can make you a monster in a snowball fight.
Any sling with a big pouch will do. I've made a few double pouch slings that are perfect for this task. My very favorite is the Seatbelt Sling. One thing to keep in mind. Especially if it's a wet snow don't pack your snowball too tightly unless you want to kill someone. A fat 100mph slushball can knock someone into next Thursday. |

Rat Man, the timing of your question is perfect! I just had a couple slings delivered today and was going to give a shoutout to the folks at Amdo Craft. I already have a few slings from them, but I recently ordered some scarves for Christmas presents and figured it would be crazy not to add another sling or two to the order.
Their slings are a great deal, and great for snowballs! Kick has a video of one in action. I think he's going to have to link it here so we don't have to go looking through old threads for it. ;) Here's one of the slings I got today. |

You called? :D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOTFLp866y0 I love the Amdo Craft slings. I might have to get another one some time even though I already have the two :D They're perfect for snowballs like Joe said but as well as being practical they're also beautiful. I can't say enough good things about them. |

These Tibetan sling pouches are some pretty hefty things. Mine are pretty thick, I feel like I could put them through some pretty extensive use and the pouch would likely be fine.
I have no experience launching snowballs, I live in the fine wasteland known as Western Australia, and I likely won't get much experience on that front. But I wouldn't be surprised if they work very well with snowballs. I feel that these slings tend to work better with larger slingstones. |

New or used; seat belt slings are also weather proof ;)
