Sling Golf seems to have been slowly picking up steam over the years. Love to hear from other sling golfers

I enjoy sling golf. In addition to my shepherd’s sling, I have a custom slingshot to launch golf balls. I also sling tennis balls on disc golf courses.
The difficulty is finding a golf course that will permit me to play sling golf. Suggestions? |

I suggest first using the sling on a slow day at their driving range to get a feel for the course's vibe/potential tolerance..
then do the same on their putting green--again ona slow day. Develop proficiency for the course to stimulate their curiosity. this couldlead to an invitation.. if not, sneak in with a group of golfers. pay the entry fees, be respectful, and you could have legitiamate entrance to a golf course. this is how we gained accces to a golf course in Guam. I hope this helps |

That's great! I've seen other sling golf videos with a golf putter used on the green. I definitely like the sling putting. :) |

I would think a staff sling would be perfect for those long "drives" Much more linear control of where the ball is going.
And use a short --16" -- sling as a "putter". Golf is REALLY big here in Florida; I'm gonna hafta try this! |

I hadn't thought of using a staff sling for sling golf... Hmmm... That would be fun :D

How about a sling and a putter but the putter is used as a staff to make a staff sling. Then you just play as normal once on the green. Less to carry as well

Staff-sling-putter. That's how I'd do it!

Staff sling would give you a straighter drive, but he completely useless on a right angle dog leg.
Given that a golf ball can be easily curved to the point that I can - literally - sling round corners, what you gain on the straights you lose on the bends. A left hand curve for a right handed slinger is harder, but still doable :-) |

So a staff sling for the drive, a sling for the fairway then a short sling for putting. I think that would work better than a staff sling.
