Title: Horse Apples Post by NooneOfConsequence on Sep 28th, 2019 at 2:50pm
We stopped at a park for a picnic during a road trip today and somebody had left sling ammo lying all over the ground! :)
These are osage oranges... sometimes called horse apples, or brain fruit. They don’t taste good, but they’re fun to throw! They’re about the size and weight of a large apple. |

Apparently the wood makes for good bows too if you can find a long, straight piece! |

Great bows, hot fires and good thickets. It's one of my all time favorites. Smells amazing when youre working it and looks amazing too. Good memories.

'horse apples' is also another term for horse crap :-)
I'm so glad you were slinging the other kind of 'horse apple' |
