There are two new books on the market: Both describe in detail how to make Peruvian braided slings showing many colorways and patterns.

The books are entitled "Andean Sling Braids, Traditions and Techniques, and "Sling Braiding for Textile Artists". Authors Rodrick Owen and Terry N Flynn. Both are published by Schiffer. They are available from www.braidershand.com

You're a little late, I've already got 'Andean Sling Braids, Traditions and Techniques'... ;)

It's a damn good book by the way. I've made three slings already, two with the Palma braid and one with repeated diamonds. I also made a guitar-strap for my uncle with the Palma braid.

I have to say I think you have converted me into a lifetime of braid making!

Just received one of your books for Father's day Mr. Owen. It's very informative. I can't wait to get the others as well.
