It looks like they were excavated then. Supposedly, the bullets are from a siege in 89 BCE. I had no idea that there were sling bullets found at Pompeii. That's pretty neat. They look like you could still sling them today from those photos. |

Those are interesting. They are so small, yet they must have provided an advantage over heavier stones or why bother using them.
