And the thing about hubert's slings is that they throw really really well too.

Possibly a little on the short side for some, but great slings to use.
And the flat split pouch will take pretty much any ammo as well.  From golf ball size on up to tennis balls.

Slings to hang on the wall to amaze visitors, and also practical.

Given that each one takes upwards of 16 hours of highly skilled work to make, the price is actually pretty good.

I think they're worth twice that at least!

They're made from really nice wool too

Yep, use them with smooth stones, tennis balls etc. and they should last a very long time. Well worth the money.  I keep threatening to buy one but the wife doesn't see throwing rocks as essential. I know... crazy huh.

This is probably one of the most gorgeous slings I ha e seen. I doubt you would be willing to do a tutorial for those of us who aren't allowed to spend $80 on "pieces of string" I might try to sneak some money out eventually if not.

Could always try Roderick Owen's book "Sling Braiding Traditions and Techniques: From Peru, Bolivia, and Around the World"

Yes, It's a wordy title... but It's a damn fine book. You can learn a lot about how the Andean slings are made.

One day I'll have to buy that book. But I've heard the pictures are black-and-white... Oh boy, that's going to make it interesting...
