the bow chris made re-inspired me, its been awhile since ive made one of these but i think this ones my best so far.

its made from river cane with rawhide wraps and a twisted hemp string atached with a few half hitch knots

its crude and ugly lol but i like it :D it looks evil.
i havent checked the weight but id guess its close to 20 pounds. and it shoots good to about 50 foot ,but it doesnt have much snap to it as id like.

it reminds me of the haradrim bows from lord of the rings so if i ever made a costume. ill have a good prop to go with it.:)

very cool, bro. ;) if you want to see a drastic increase in performance, do like David suggested with me and taper your bundles. even if you get a drop off in overall pull weight, you'll increase your speed by a lot and have a much faster arrow. by the way, i LOVE the raw hide!

thanks :)

theres some extra peices on the handle part but it totaly sliped my mind about tapering towards the knocks. 1st i tried wraping with jute then i took it off aand did the rawhide and it helped some with the speed. i think ill just make another one lol maybe out of somthing besides cane.
