Fellow Slingsters, I finally got us a quote on a nice baseball cap with the SLINGING ROCKS logo embroidered nicely on the front.   Description is this:

Low crown style in dark washed khaki twill, w adjustable back strap of same fabric and brass "flip type" buckle.   Logo done in very light cream color and black on the cap front

We can get the cost to just under $10each (plus shipping to you) with an order of 50 caps.   100 caps would bring cost down to just over $8each.

Just in time for summer rock-chucking season.   Any interest??   How many should I put each of you down for  :D??

With so many new members we can do a new load of t-shirts or baseball caps.
I would go for new t-shirts.

t shirts would be nice.  i rarely wear hats, and never wear baseball caps.

same here. Tshirts are cool, I'd definitely get one. A slinging cap might look sort of silly though.... not that I wouldn't buy one anyway  ;D

How about a "when Slings are outlawed, only outlaws will have slings" with a basic picture......

I'm up for getting new shirts made, but I've still got some left over from the last print.  I think there are Smalls, mediums, and larges left.  I'd have to double check.  For people who are unfamiliar with the last round of shirts, a old link is here:

I would like to pre-order some shirts, xl, in case they come in when I have to be offline again.  ;D

This is going to be a matter of personal opinion.
on one hand you normally don't have to have multiple sizes of caps on hand.
on the other hand you often have a very small area to give your message in.
I would love to have both sort of a matching set.

A design i have always wanted to see is the normal slinging.org logo, surrounded by just pictures of slings. kind of in a 'sun' pattern, with slinging.org in the middle and the sling pics coming out in all directions.

yea id rather have t-shirts rather than hats

to bad im a bit to "hefty" for a large  ;D

gunsonwheels has quite a lot of slinging.org baseball caps - one size seemed to fit all (I did try to lose mine but somehow it kept coming back)
He also has a big box of smite the philistines t-shirts in various colours and sizes. I'm sure he'd be delighted to offload some of them :-)

At My age Basball Caps look stupid, so the T Shirt woud be better how about some on sale at the UK slingfest in June.

Thought about it - but as one of the lessons I/we learnt from slingfest last year was:- Do not over order t-shirts as hardly anyone who says they will turn up, does turn up. I think I'll probably work up a t-shirt design, sort out a price with a local company and order them after the event with a deposit :-)
That way I'll know exactly how many and which sizes I need and can post them on when I get them.  

I don't have gunsonwheels bank account or optimism :-)
I figure if half a dozen people turn up including me - I'll be doing well.

One of the things I'm trying to do with this first uk slingfest is keep the cost down. That way when I write the 'How to put on a slingfest for bugger all money' article I can put things like t-shirt costs in as 'optional extras.'

I'd take XL t-shirts, too.  I'd probably buy two, possibly three of them.

Think of how cool it would be in this age of YouTube if a whole bunch of us were posting videos of ourselves slinging with Slinging.org t-shirts on!!
(My latest video has me wearing a Nantucket t-shirt, but then, I didn't plan to be videoing myself that day in the first place, or I would've worn a blank shirt.)

Well, I have access to white t-shirts and sharpie markers...  :D

Best inexpensive source for DIY teeshirts and a variety of other things is www.vistaprints.com.  You can almost always find something that you need which is 'free' except for shipping.  I'm a Personal Chef, and I get my magnetic car signs, business cards, and logo tees from them.  It would be simple to take a high-res copy of the Project Goliath logo, or the Slinging.org header, or other slinging art I've seen on this site and take it to my VistaPrint account and turn it into a slinging teeshirt.

this is just me but i think we should have bracelets or things like that, even though I'm a boy, i don't think a tee or a cap would be right for school, makes me embarrassed, but now with some beads that spell slinging.org , that's something i would try to beg for

The shirt picture seems to have been taken down, but what would be nice to see is a T-Shirt which is just the slinger silhouette, on the green color, and at a pretty small size. Basically a subtle, but noticeable touch to a plain color shirt.

if its still available, I'd like one but I have to talk to my mom.

How about a polo, with a small logo of the assyrian slingers?
