Title: Must Read This Book

It's called the Last American Man, by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's about a man named Eustace Conway who left home at 17 to live in the Appalachian mountains and live off the land. I've only started reading it, but I am so amazed at this book, that I have already reccomended it to two friends.

No, I think you're thinking about "My side of the mountain" by Jean Craighead george. This book so far is sheer awesomeness. He rode across the US on horseback, setting a speed record for doing so in, if I remember correctly, 103 days. According to the author, he sometimes rode more than 50 miles/day. This book is nonfiction; it's a biography about the man.

anyway sounds cool Ill have to check amazon once I finish my current novel
