Has anyone from the site met another slinger from the site?

Someone just emailed me and lives 15 minutes away! Hope to give him a call and sling some stones. Hope we don't kill eachother with wild shots. ;D

I have never met any slingers ever!!!!

By the way, did Knollslinger get together with Ben for a field day?  

A second.  Almulek (Ben) and I got together for a slingfest already.  We shot video.  Ben must have been busy with school and Holidays.  I will look him up this week to see if he has the footage we can post up.

Also, I went down to check out the "sling competition" site, but nobody was there.  Next time I go, I hope to meet some more slingers too!

I had a guy email me and he lived like 10 miles away. I returned his message but he never got back with me. I shore hope he does some time.

....archeorob & I pitched a 5-gallon bucket of rocks here in southeast Wisconsin last summer, & he shot some nice stop-action photos, but I havent seen him or the photos on the site since.  Odd   mgreenfield

Sure, sure. Some hunter will probably find his body sprawled out in the middle of nowhere with a funny dent in his head.

That happened to Yurek, our slinger from Poland! He was slinging across a lake and some hunters came out looking all around trying to figure out what was going on. ::) He didn't hit anyone fortunately--He's the one who has slung some stones a quarter mile!

It would be nice meeting others that enjoy slinging. If you talk about slinging to most folks, they look at you like your a nut.  ::) OK, so I am a nut. lol  ;D

Unfortunately last response on this was 2005

don't recall any video of that ever being uploaded to the site.
This also predated youtube :-)
So any video clips were uploaded to the forum server.

But it does illuatrate that slingers tend to be solitary and reluctant to make an effort to meet anyone else.

I suspect I've met more forum members than anyone else, but I will always make an effort to meet someone, and usually feed them and often house them for a few days as well :-)

Pre-youtube? Wow, struggle to even remember that time now!

I've met quite a few forum members on my two Balearic International visits. Outside of that not yet though!

Back then we had actual cameras and had to piss about with a bunch of different video formats :-)

youtube was created feb 2005 - this thread was started in 2004 !
Google bought it in 2006 for: $1.65 BILLION !

And that was before most people had even heard of it.
