Grubbing about in the "back 40" this afternoon, I found a waterlogged Pee Wee Football.

I managed to keep it in the sling pocket long enough to really pitch it just x1 time.

BUT that x1 time, it took off with a beautiful "quarterback" spiral, ....just a tiny bit of wobble.

I had one of those foamy darts you can buy at a toy store. I pulled the football shaped head off the end and use it as a light practice glande. The thing spins just like a football and very straight. It's great for practice in the backyard bouncing it off the wall or my son's eagles nest.

These larger & slower projectiles may be a good way to test different theories about flight characteristics... ::)
