A great, simple, utilitarian sling you got there. It looks like you stitched the pouch for additional strength. What type of material is that? Denim?

Also, I like how you turned the end of your release cord into a ball. I remember making those in scouts but have since forgotten.

heyall
the pocket is made of an old leather perse that i took apart, its folded over once and sewn and prepared in the manner i described with respect to my other sling made of that old pair of dockers i spoke bout and so on and so forth. how deepley did u get into knot tying chris??? u r correct david this sling gives me at my best range so far 517 ft. awy from me and i estimate the height of that to be 40 somthing ft. :D

Hey Jack, I like it! ;D I've always had a problem with my leather pockets not lasting as long as I'd like. I really like the way that you've reinforced yours. That, and the ball release knot is really cool! I'm going to have to figure out how to do that! ;)

looks like my first sling but mine was denim. as you could imagine, only lasted a few weeks :(
