Title: Is it normal for a forum to have such a big impact on one's life? Post by Mauro Fiorentini on Aug 15th, 2025 at 2:35pm
Hey everybody,
title pretty much sums it up. I have disappeared, but have never forgotten this forum. I've just figured out this forum belongs to the very prehistoric period of my Internet experience. I remember many good chats with friends around here, Rat Man, Masi, Aussie, John and so many others. I feel at home around here. You can leave home but home never leaves you. I will try to be more present. I've missed you all so much even while real life required its priority (dad's death, soon-to-be marriage, career, new home, the same old stuff). You can't imagine how happy I am to be here again. Missed you all so much. Mauro. |

Welcome back! The forum has a long history, glad to see some of the originals still around.

Hello again! I haven't written much to you directly, but have read many, many of your posts. I've been on here for a long time but have only been actively posting once the pandemic started.

When it comes to this forum, I think so. Although certainly not everyone. There are many who are here for a very short time, and then head down another path. Which is perfectly fine. I know this forum has been immensely huge for me. So many great friends, trips to other states and countries, videos on YouTube, hours of slinging, and I'm sure countless other things. I can't imagine life without it.
I'm glad to see you back and hope to see you around here! |

Welcome back, and pleased to meet you! I'm relatively new to the forum, at least relative to many of the regulars here, but nonetheless I've read many of your posts.
This forum really is something special. It's so close-knit, more than many other forums I've seen, and everyone just feels like a long-time friend ;D |

Welcome back!
Mi ricordo di un buon tempo... Montelago, musica, idromele, frombole... What has it been? 10 years? 15 years? I'm sorry to hear about your dad's passing. But I wish you (and your future wife!) all the best for the future! |

Thomaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssss
Of course Montelago, musica, how you saved me from breaking my Punto's glass when I shut the keys in lol (I still have pictures..... I'm not sharing them because ti voglio bene ;D) How are you??? How are you doing?? I am so glad to hear from you again after all those years! Rat Man, you too, I could never forget our chats, how are you? I really hope you and all of your beloved are well :-) Being a bit busy with the wedding - that'll be Saturday the 6th and then honeymoon in Sicily - I'm going to be more present in the forum once I come back :) Are you guys still slinging? I wrote some books in the past and I wrote about slinging in at least two of them, my mind was with you all the time while I was writing :D |

I'm doing fine. Though I have to admit that there is not much time left anymore for slinging and the like ::). Nowadays I'm mostly braiding.
Enjoy your honeymoon! |
