Had some difficulty getting started but I made it.   No slinging experience, but I'm itching to try.  Drawn in by the historical aspect of it and the simplicity as well.  Could be a real boone for snowballs?

personally, im drawn in most by the aspect of being able to easily propel objects to otherwise unattainable speeds, i find that to be quite awesome.

i took up slinging after the last time it snowed. ive thought about slinging snowballs but they would probably break up really easily. balls of actual ice can be slung quite far though.

but fireworks... thats different. hopefully, soon, ill have the first videos on youtube of fireworks being slung.  ;)

Slinging snowball fights are awesome! I live in Alabama, so we don't get much snow but last year we had a "blizzard" of about 6 inches snow that stuck for a day and a half. Aussie pouches are amazing for slinging snowballs.

Having grown up in snow county I can't imagine receiving a 90 + MPH fastball of a well packed snowball.  

Sounds like an injury waiting to happen.

I've been taken off my feet   :o  by a well thrown snowball (head shot, straight on the side, into the ear)  :'( ow ... don't even want to think of a well packed slung snowball.

The trick is to not pack it well, but leave it fluffy and rub the outside a little to melt the snow and help it stay in one piece.
