To me this seems like that this battle has the most slingers ever deployed in battle, 2000 slingers for the Romans and 4000 for the Macedonians, what do you figure was the most slingers used in battle? :-? |

6000 slingers, that'd be deadly I'd rather watch than actually be pelted by enemy skirmishers, the chance of living would be low, though I'd probably sling a few times with ammo that said, "take that" and what not and just run away to live another day...

as stated in the last part of his show, My physique is similar to a Roman soldier, fairly short only 5'9"-5'10", I know thats not short at all, but compare me to a white person(no offense at all just telling height difference) Im quite short, for instance in school most of the kids I'd be looking up to them most of the time, some of them over 6' there's even a 7' tall teacher in my high school that I graduated in, anyways I have small feet only size 9 or 10, I hear of kids that are younger than me who wear size 15 or something like that, soo i have small feet, short legs, small hands, long torso, wide shoulders, and sort of a barrel chest...
soo I believe my proportions are similar to that of a Roman http://community.imaginefx.com/fxpose/johnny_shumates_portfolio/picture10278.aspx |

soo the average height of my ppls would be really short like 5'7" or shorter, If u see an old person, male or female they could be 4'-5' something when they get older

If the other side threw ammo saying "Backstreet Boys", we would know what that war was about. |

Fascinating stuff, little. Good post. I was spellbound through all three segments. It's great that we have the technology to put together something like that, where one can see the whole battle unfold. 6000 slingers, all throwing lead is a scary enough thought, but war elephants are really nasty too. It's funny the Romans didn't have more after facing Hannibal and knowing the capabilities of war elephants. Unpredictable or not, they're an awesome weapon. I know that if I were an ancient slinger and I saw a battalion of war elephants coming at me, I'm heading for the hills.

Shame one didn't see the slingers fight. Can RTW really allow you to line up thousand upon thousand of men, or does every figure reprsent e.g. 10 men ?
Anyway, not bad, to see VD Hanson and Peter Connolly in the same documentary-- the faces that launched a thousand wargamers. |

DUDE in RTW U can go up to Huge mode, up to 160 slingers per card, and there's 20 slots for units, the largest unit is about 241, soo if u multiply 160 by 20 u get 3200, I do that sometimes when I play custom game its pretty fun.
