Title: What piercings do you have?

Yesterday I got my first piercing, an erl (bridge of nose) piercing with a straight bar. It didn't hurt that much but everything about what the needle was doing was tangible. It hasn't bled or swollen (much) so I'm hoping in two weeks it'll be good enough to have the smaller bar put through.

So does anyone else have piercings or piercing stories?

I have my heart pierced occasionally. When I see so many with body piercings.

Reminds me of what the Assyrians and other barbaric cultures did to their unwilling slaves......

But hey, that's just me.....I'll never be a slave to fashion, neither to those things which, regrettably, have become as fashionable now as they were in the days of Noah.

Well TechStuff, the piercing I got wasn't so much a question of fashion/conforming to a particular trend (or a non-comformity that has been turned into a trend) as it was simply getting something I wanted for both the experience of getting pierced and the actual jewelry itself.

My particular piercing had no cultural meaning past or present and to apply such, given my motives, sort of calls it "trendy". I got it because I as an individual wanted to have it.

Yeah, but why go and get yourself pierced right between the eyes? Maybe start with something less conspicuous and see how it flies.

That's a very good point. I was thinking about getting it in a more easy to hide spot, but then I only really wanted that particular piercing.
I can understand your dislike of body modification, it's a perfectly reasonable stance and one that I still slightly adhere to (the big hypocrite that I am).

i have my left ear peirced. that is it. my friend baught it for me for my birthday last year.

A friend of mine had both his nipples pierced. Quite funny, really - used to attach tassles to them, for kitsch and camp factor.

I dont get any piercings thanks but i try to develpe my patened abdomen piercings. ;) No one seems to keen on it yet.

I have my left ear pierced. I got it when I went on a tennis trip away from home. I was underage and my coach, who was my legal guardian on the trip signed the papers for me (There were laws regarding piercing in that country because some kids got aids from doing it themselves).

My mom totally freaked out when I got home. She was very traditional Chinese. ;D

well here you go... left ear 3 piercings, right ear 1. Done a long time ago all by me, at different times. Dont wear jewelry anymore, no earings anymore. The holes are still there and after almost 8 years of not wearing them I imagine now they always will be.

No piercing or tatoo whatsoever. I dislike altering my body in such ways.
But I almost got an eyebulb rattan piercing during Kali...
