i did a little forgeing yesterday and my right arm is tired but my left is still pretty good.

i was wondering if some of you full time blacksmiths look like some odd batman bad guy with one huge arm and one small one?

haha just kidding. but one arm gets alot more exersize then the other so what do you do to even it out?. :)

That is happening to me right now. I do everything with my right arm and hand except for eating, so it is visibly thicker, and it is a LOT easier to swing weapons with the right.

yep they seem to have changed status qualification when i was gone. Alas some of us are still cast out from the halls of Vanguard

I did lots of pushups....lol

I am going to go to college for artistic blacksmithing after I get my major in dark ages and medieval studies and a bachelor of arts! Ive been looking into blacksmithing for a long time.

This guy in new Brunswick, Jake Powning has the most beautiful blades Ive seen forged!

I guess it all depend on how big of a piece of metal you are forging. Since you where doing a little forging one can assume you where not holding much weight. ;D ;)

Ok i take it all back. I did a little forging on something bigger and both of my arms hurt. :)

lmao - there isn't a book written or a film made where the blacksmith isn't a really strong bloke. It's just one of those jobs that pretty much isn't done by wimps :-)
That webpage isn't right though lobo, I get no vertical scroll bar so can't see most of it.

hmmm ill contact His wife. The sites a memorial to Paw Paw wilson. A black smith and freind who died last year of zinc poisoning due to black smithing.
