Archery - Back Up 10 Feet Challenge
Sep 22nd, 2020 at 11:35pm

Just in case anyone doesn't visit the sport and competition board, I thought I would post this here as well.  I just finished a video of me doing the Back-Up-10-Feet challenge with one of my longbows.  It's a hickory bow I made a number of years back.  It was a fun experience.  It's definitely the longest distance I've ever shot with this bow.

Good video.  I'm about to get my first bow in over fifty years, probably in the next week or two.  I can't wait.  When we were kids we shot bows every day.  I'm anxious to see how much of it stayed with me.  My guess is I'll shoot just fine.

Thanks!

I agree with you.  There's definitely a muscle memory aspect to shooting a bow.  I would think it might take a little bit to get your shot tuned in again.  Part of that will just be learning the new bow.  But feeling comfortable shooting a bow should come back really fast.
