That was a spectacular explosion.  For not practicing the pirouette, that was pretty good!

I would not want to be on the receiving end of that! Anyone want to estimate the energy in one of those ice blocks?

That's an interesting thought.  When I have a chance I can try to get a distance measurement (as close as I can) and a frame count from the recording.

Good video.  I love when projectiles explode.  If you could somehow make ice balls instead of ice blocks it might be easier to be more accurate.  A block is a tough shape to sling.

Oh, I had that thought too.
I need to be able to hit the target first though. Cheesy

Thanks Rat Man!  Although you must not see most of the videos I post.  Ice balls are what I use 90% of the time.  I make ice balls with 2.5 inch spherical molds.  Great for whiskey, and slinging. Wink

Here's one with some good smashing: https://youtu.be/uHQBpM0MB3c

Great stuff joe, I like the 2 hits on the frame.
You just need to cover your face to find the last of your inner timpa

That's a good point. You need to get a balaclava to really gain the powers of Timpa.  Grin

That's an interesting thought.  When I have a chance I can try to get a distance measurement (as close as I can) and a frame count from the recording.

My best measurement of the distance was 39 ft.  I pulled up the original recording and counted 15 frames from release to impact (this was the hit on the right side that bounced into the air).  So I would estimate 78 feet/sec (23.7 m/s).

There's a lot of good in your style.
But one observation: When you start, your right foot is next to the ice. It loses power.

When you start, swing your hands back. See here (in time 1:24
