Balearic type sling - First attempt

Hi all
I have tryed to make a balearic sling.
As a guide I have used the following tutorial from youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AT8KZ6Ltos0
Follows a picture from the sling I made. I am quite happy for the first attempt.
I tryed it in my backyard and I found that it is very different from the pouch sling I had been using. Probably because it is much heavier and I made it longer. i will practice more with to see if it performs well.
Cheers

Looks good! One thing I would suggest is to drop some strands along the release cord to taper it. That helps to reduce the "heavy" feeling and helps to open the pouch cleaner.

Thanks! When do you start tapering the release cord? Immediately after the pouch or down further the cord?
Cheers

It can vary. The material, the thickness and the braiding can all effect it and really, it kind of comes down to experimenting and making a few to find the right sort of balance.
