If you have a heat gun, you could make a Plains type highly deflexed bow.  I have a bow that is 56 inches long that I draw 28 inches.

We have a heat gun, but no electricity.  Only a small generator. But the pieces i cut were only 44in long. I might just practice on a few since they are already dried.

I was curious, if anyone knew of any type of bow that was about 44in long or shorter? Just curious if any culture had one.

I’ve made a 46” bow out of Black locust . Bending through the handle. Works great but I only draw it to 19”

@VetRyan look up any plains Indian bows or west coast bows. Should be tons of example of different styles.
