Dog leash line

Has anyone else here used this line for a sling? It's a really tough and compact nylon of some sort. We had an old broken leash and I reused the cord on my aussie slings. To me it feels even better than paracord.

Almost seems like a nicer version of lawn mower start cord type line. If it’s anything like that I know it’s tough as nails and works great.

Ich schieße eine Balearic sling seit zwölf Jahren. Sie ist aus Hanf gemacht. Irre haltbar. 😁

Out of curiosity, did you braid multiple lengths of this line together for the sling, or did you use the cord "straight up" so to speak? Definitely seems like it'd make for a tough sling.

I just used it straight up with a leather pouch. Although If I had more I would like one with a woven pouch.

I've used it for slinging yesterday and I was a little surprised by how well it works, I like it more than my paracord. Thin cords like these with minimal stretch really get the most out of the sling when it comes to speed and distance in my experience. I've also used this cord as string for light poundage selfbows.

That must be some good quality hemp. A sling can last really long if care is taken with ammo selection. If I had to choose I would rather have a perfectly smooth 40g pebble than a rougher 80-120g stone.
