New Slinger from Portugal
May 3rd, 2020 at 5:40pm

Hello all

Let me introduce myself. My name is Mario and I am from Lisbon, Portugal.

I am new to the art of slinging and I am happy to start learning. So far I have made my first sling. I have used  a model provided by this forum.
It has been fun to swing some balls in my backyard although my lack of skill. Hope it improves with practice Grin

Looking forward to meet and learn with you all

Cheers

Hi

Since at this moment we are mostly restrained at our homes to minimize social distance I am confined to a ver small backyard and I had to improvise my ammunition as well.

I needed some safe ammunition as I have no experience and most likely will fail a lot initially. Since I had some paracord at home I have made some balls from it to throw. This way it is safe and do not have fear or brake something or hurt myself if I fail.

With time and experience I plan to source for more suitable  ammo...

Regards

Thanks. Actually after some training I have found out that my slinging accuracy highly improved when I started to use a tennis ball. Ultimately, I now understood that he paracord monkey balls where very light to allow a good feel while I was spinning the sling.  Grin

If I used stones I would for sure be kicked out of the house by my wife as I would destroy the entire backyard Grin

Welcome! That's a well-made looking sling; I haven't yet been able to put together a paracord sling myself (I use a braided sling.)
