Hello from Eastern Washington State
Apr 20th, 2020 at 2:17pm

Hello all,

My name is Jens. Just getting into slings and, for my son and I, it's been a great way to spend time outside during the COVID lockdown. We've got plenty of space around here, and railroad cuts make a great place to throw without stones going in all directions.

My son and I made some paracord slings about two years ago when he got into primitive weapons after making an atlatl in history class. We got into it again a couple weeks ago and have been having fun. Started with a bunch of experimenting with paracord and leather, have braided some slings of various lengths out of braided, bonded masons twine that work well. Still working on accuracy, but it's coming faster than I thought it would.

Looking forward to learning some more about this.

Just starting out. Waiting for the water to go down for some smooth rocks. Railroad ballast is good enough for government work. I now know all the places with decorative river rock in town.

Howdy! I grew up in Eastern Washington. I still visit my parents a few times a year. Lots of basalt chunks to sling out there...it's too bad I didn't get into it until after college when I didn't live there anymore.

Howdy from South Texas!

There’s a lot of diehard 550 paracord sling fans out there, but if you’ve never tried it, check out 425 paracord instead. I personally prefer the look and feel of the smaller cordage on my slings.
