Do we have a new weapon? " short range guided staff sling" . I think it would be useful for small game hunting at short ranges.

That's pretty crazy. I would be interested to know how hard it hits. It marked the target but it seemed to just be paper on wood. Speaking of staff slings though, I really need to go out and give mine another test with the now shorter sling.

    I think his technique is fine but there is nothing wrong with holding the line with your index finger as I do.  To control the plug and make it's path shorter you can just pull the rod up and back to increase the angle of the rod to line and consequently the friction on the line as it leaves the top eyelet.

I have a short rod & reel to practice with. Use a 2oz weight with treble hook. Hit the bunny or squirrel and reel it in. Happyness  Cheesy

Very impressive casting. I’ve never seen that before, wonder what weight it starts not working.
