I've managed to find and compile a few anecdotes together from soldiers who were stationed in Afghanistan.
Here is a quote from a British soldier's experience during the Iraq War:
"Having had some Iraq shepherd kid sling stones through my guard post windows Goliath was an idiot for not ducking IMHO. Not sure how fast they were ,but, really glad none of them connected. Several bags of candy and he went to bully another post
"
From an American soldier (Not sure if this was during the Iraq war).
"While I was pulling tower security shift in Afghanistan, a kid (who didn't like that I had no candy to give him and his friends) no more than 12 years old slung a small stone and chipped the newly installed bullet-proof window."
Remember to bring Candy, people!
