So i read alot of books, long winters. I am huge into the early fur trapping, mountain man era in the US.  Expansion on the western front.  From 1800 to 1840s fur trapping era, up to 1880s. I been collecting, and reading books about the real life accounts of trappers, and native Americans during this time. I got a few books for Christmas.  One book i just finished was written by a guy called Herman Lehmann. At 11 years of age in 1870 while living in texas, he was kidnapped by the Apache tribe, for 9 years.  At first, he was a slave,  then they accepted him into the tribe as a full member and taught him ways of the warrior.  Then he went to Comanche tribe. Eventually he returned to his family and died an old white man in 1927, but he is labeled as an actual native American member of the Comanche tribe.Anyways one of the chapters, he talked about a raid he did with Apache, they came across some Mexicans,  he gave a small account of how they used a sling, and threw rocks at them. Its the. 1st paragraph on the 2nd page, but  the paragraph starts on the first page. Let me know what you think. It was a great book.
