I'm going to have to try my hands on making a sling similar to the Egyptian one.

Only I'm probably going to use some of my own Hibiscus bark cordage... Have to rett it though... and that'll take time.

Nice work and good looking slings, how did you measure the durability out of interest?

Thanks Wink

I've been using all those slings for some time so I roughly know when they started to wear down in relation to the others.
It can't be put into numbers easily, so it was more like guessing.
Also the exposed parts that keep the sling together played a role e.g. the egyptian style slings have the least amount of vital parts exposed to projectile friction, the split pouches the most, of the leather splits 1 ply broke of the 7-ply after less than 100 shots so it scored low.
the max score in durability was 9/10 by the egyptian style slings ,there is always room for improvement.

Other Stats where evaluated in a similar manner...

Thanks for the tip!
I don't know if the overdrawing to the left is because I haven't adjusted my timing to the the short sling or the sling needs better design.
I'll try to look if a brake helps in my case.

What is a 'brake' as it relates to slinging?

A tassle will increase the air resistance and slow down the release cord.

That makes sense.  Thanks!
