Hello all
Is anyone making andean slings by hand or on a marudai braiding stand? If so can I see some examples. I just made a core braiding stand and I have zero experience. Thanks in advance.

I think a few of our members do, or have in the past. I have one I've only done a little braiding on it. I find using a card better for my lifestyle at the moment since I can easily take it places.

I've made two. Unfortunately I haven't made them with a Marudai stand.

Jaegoor these look magnificent! Thank you for showing them. Can I ask what kind of cord you are using? If it is wool, How do they hold up? I have only slung with hemp and jute cord. I also hear that wool slings are much more quiet. Your bobbins are pretty slick. Are they 100 gram? Excellent slings! Thanks for sharing

Wolle ist ein sehr gutes Material. Ich verwende es aber selten. Ich arbeite sehr gerne mit leinen oder seide.

I highly recommend them.
They have their own set of rules and stuff but they're pretty sweet!

Oh far out! Linen is a great durable fiber. I didn’t even consider that. Silk must be awesome to.
Ich genoss Ihre Videos von schnellen Schleudern und treffen bewegliche Ziele! Ziemlich beeindruckend!

I braid by hand (fistbraiding).
Other members who made such slings are hubert, T. J. Potter, _kava_ , ...
Books I can recommend about the subject are
"Sling Braiding: Traditions and Techniques" by Owen (focussed on braiding with a stand, also shows how to make the pouch)
and
"Slingbraiding of the Andes" by Cahlander (focussed on fistbraiding)
