I recently built a rack to hold some of my swords.  It came out nicer than I expected.

Nice, would make a decent sling rack too. Tell, do you practice with those swords?

Very nice!  I was planning to build something similar until I realized I need to get some swords first Smiley

Definitely would work for slings.  Although for my slings and bows I have some peg board in another room.  Makes it easy to add more hooks as the sling population increases.  Smiley

On the question of practice, I would say sort of.  I don't have any kind of actual training.  I do sometimes go through transitional movements between guard positions (just information learned from books).  But basically just playing around.  I've been planning to build a stand for a while and start doing some cutting in the back yard.  I'll see if I have time before the end of the year, if not it will be a project for next spring.

Sword collecting is definitely a fun hobby.  Although forewarning, similar to slinging, it can get quite addictive.  Wink

Certainly anyone who owns that many swords must’ve already read this:

Might be a tad more expensive than sling collecting though Cheesy That's a really nice rack. As soon as we live in an apartment that we can put nails in the walls of (student apartments have their perks but also their downsides...) I'll be setting something up for slings and other various things that really need hanging up.

Most definitely.  Although it has been quite a while.  Something I should do again.

That's cool. Over the years I've gone from loving katanas to more westernized swords. They are great weapons. I especially love rapiers.

So as a lover of swords I'm sure you're aware of the YouTube channel Shadiversity but if you aren't it's very interesting. I think you would like it.

Oh yeah.  I'm a big fan of Shad's stuff.  I'm also a frequent watcher of the videos from Matt Easton (scholagladiatoria), Metatron, and Skallagrim.  Those guys basically make up the top four for me.  For anyone with an interest in swords, they're all worth checking out.

I agree with this. I haven't really watched Metatron's stuff but I think I've seen every single video Skallagrim has released and pretty much all of Matt Easton's Cheesy
