Horse Apples
Sep 28th, 2019 at 2:50pm

We stopped at a park for a picnic during a road trip today and somebody had left sling ammo lying all over the ground! Smiley
These are osage oranges... sometimes called horse apples, or brain fruit.  They donít taste good, but theyíre fun to throw! Theyíre about the size and weight of a large apple.

Apparently the wood makes for good bows too if you can find a long, straight piece!

Great bows, hot fires and good thickets. It's one of my all time favorites. Smells amazing when youre working it and looks amazing too. Good memories.
