Max Range Video
Jul 11th, 2019 at 4:36pm

https://youtu.be/Hs19_2tiSZw

video description :
"Max slinging range 90cm sling, 40C, all kinds of stones.
When I'm there slinging I can't see the stones land , I only see them until they start to fall and the streamlined small stones suitable for max range disappear from view even sooner.
I need to train to throw even heavier stones so they are visible further."

I think this is my first and most certain evidence that I sling over 200m
P.S: Countless throws didn't make it to the final video because nothing can be seen even though a lot of them were vertically oriented to the center of the camera view.

If you want to have some fun try slinging golf balls if you haven't done so yet.  As long as you can get a pure backspin on them they will fly over the hills and far, far away.

You just need to find some Ancient Greeks to sling at now... just make sure they don't have Rhodians! Grin

You've pretty much gotten to the point of being within the 'Persian' slingers performance-level in the Anabasis with fist-sized stones... though I'm not sure what type of rocks you were throwing, your performance is a lot better than mine.

Were you throwing from a standing position or did you do a short run up?

one jump on the back leg or just stride, I had a little less than the width of a road so I couldn't do a run up.

Great distance!  What kind of device do you use for the distance measurement?

Mersa, it's more rolling than up or down.  It is lower but not by much.
