We having one heading our way. Its gonna be interesting.  Since its my first winter in maine.  I think we are pretty close to the same latitude lines. Lol. I haven't  seen grass and dirt since the beginning  of November.  I noticed up here that most roads are taken better care of them where I am from, but then again a lot more snow falls up here, but the cacmroads? Best to avoid them.  Cuz they are never touched

Here's a picture of the sling I got from Dan. It's a braided split pouch design with 4-strand braids mostly. It works great for bits of ice and snow, which is what's available for ammunition this time of year.

Thanks, Dan!

My package from vetryan has arrived! Some absolutely fantastic slings.

A paracord seat belt sling: definitely going to be an EDC sling. Considering how popular this design is, I was thinking it would be great to have one or make one so it's perfect!

Jute slings, one with woven split pouch the other two with moose hide pouches. These are some really heavy duty slings. Proper war slings. Almost all the slings I own are really quite slim but these are real beasts. I can't wait to get out and use them. I couldn't help but compare them to one sling I got a while back from Loki which is one of my thinnest slings Cheesy

Thanks so much vetryan! I hope the slings I've sent make it to you soon!

Haven't tested the jute and leather ones yet because I would hate to ruin them in the wet snow but I just had a go with the seatbelt sling and ice balls. Works like a dream! It also folds up smaller and more compactly than the Tibetan slings so I think I have a new winter EDC sling Cheesy

Here is the sling I got from Tim! I really like it and I plan on trying it out this morning. Very sturdy and the perfect length. 4 strand round braid and a plaited pouch with gutted paracord. I think it will definitely become one of my most used slings in the near future.  Thumbs Up

Just got mine from @kick, really like em. Took forever.  But the wait was worth it., cant wait to try em out soon,  once the snow melts in a few more months. Here are a few pics. 2 of my dogs were interested in em. The one newest one. Tan and white. Wasn't sure what they  were. My other one  knows the sight of them. The tan one.she loves the slings and freaks out when I pull one out to play some fetch with her.

Last pic is of the amount of snow we have right now. The mailbox post is actually about 4 ft tall. . So trying out the slings might have to wait a bit
