Sling use in Portugal?

Does anyone have a source(s) on history of sling use in Portugal? Done some looking online and havent come up with much. Any help appreciated. Thanks

well it will have been used, but like the uk, it probably died out in the middle ages. Unless it's something of a national speciality - like the balearic islands or guam. Sling usage tended to disappear when bows became popular.

It seems to me that Sling-use was more popular in Andalusian Spain than it was in Portugal during the Middle ages, though I wouldn't be surprised if they were used from time-to-time.
