Hi Freunde,
Viele Grüße aus der Schweiz. Zusammen mit Thomas erhielten wir die Genehmigung an einer wirklich alten Schleuder zu forschen. Hier ein paar Eindrücke.

Interesting. Are these leather pouches? What is the cordage made from? Any idea on how the cords were attached?

No. It looks like plant fiber, species not determined as of now.

Die Schleuder stammt aus der Schweiz. Mittlere bis späte Bronzezeit. Das Material wird mit Flachs , Leinen angegeben. Das ist aber nicht bestätigt. Untersuchungen laufen noch. Sie ist wahrscheinlich älter als die Lahun Sling aus Ägypten. Sie galt bisher als verschollen . Es hat viele Jahre gedauert sie wieder zu finden.
