You have a great place to raise dogs. They can be free for most of their lives. Of course there are more dangers for dogs (bears, moose, porcupines, skunks, etc.) but I think if you asked them they wouldn't have it any other way.
Thanks, I agree I think it was the best thing to do for the whole group. We mostly only seen moose here, but the dogs are usually inside when they come through the yard. My neighbors have more problems with porcupines and their dogs, then anything. But they are allowed to roam without supervision on their property. Mine have to be within visual at all times. The new dog we adopted. A tree walking coon hound, is gonna need a ton more training. He loves to roam, and I don't like it, but eventually I will be training him to hunt.
