can you please resize the pics before posting. 8mb an image is way way way too large for the forum.

this is a great android app. easy to use and lets you resize and crop fast and do multiple files at the same time - all on your phone.
around 800x600 is ideal for the forum.

My internet is just too slow to see the pics as they are.

God, vetryan, it looks like you've landed in heaven.  Is there any fishable water nearby? I fixed your pictures for you.

Thanks Ratman, greatly appreciated. There actually is some good fishing from what I have been told, but I haven't tried. I might next year.  We do have landlocked salmon up here, so that should be interesting.

Yes, I guess you'll be much too busy building and preparing for winter to do much fishing.

I might be able to do some winter fishing,  I won't be starting on my build until spring time,  we closed on our lot too late in the season unfortunately

so on a power front, you going for solar, wind or have you got a stream on the land you could use for a mini hydro plant ?

Well I have my 20 acres to use for logs, then the guy I purchased the land from. He gave me permission to cut logs on his 200 acres. I definitely have access to the logs. Lol. I do have a small bit of wet lands on the property. With a bog on it as well. But that only has some runoff onto the next property.. Not enough to use for power. I have been looking at some wind/solar hybrid systems for power. But looks like that won't be for a couple of years.  I do plan on getting my camper hooked up to the grid, for the time being. But that's gonna cost some good money.  Reason for wanting power to the camper is, I want to pick up a pressure cooker and start canning, food once we start our garden in spring, and hunting this winter. Plus once the cabin is built, I have some family that wants to move here so they can stay  in the camper while looking at houses., and they need some power and wifi so they can work remotely.  Currently we don't have power. We cook on propane, and use oil lanterns, flashlights,  and head lamps. I have a small hiking solar panel set up to charge our tablet and other small items. We opted for the tablet and got rid of the phones. There is an app that gave us a free phone number

I will be downloading  the app to resize pics. I have some more pics to show off

I suppose with access to all of that wood that's what you'll be heating your cabin with when it's built?  I would put in a nice woodstove and maybe a fireplace too. It's a little more work but you'll save a fortune. Plus cutting wood is great exercise.  You'd look like Tarzan in a year.

Yes, strictly with wood. What I have always wanted, and in a few years. I will be purchasing more land. I don't mind the work, plus I need to lose some weight anyway
