And if you do everything on it, now what?

Get a bigger bucket Smiley

Been dog sledding  - mad, dangerous fun.
When a iwas a kid living in germany one of our friends was the number 3 musher in europe.

The thing to remember is if you come to a hill and decide to get off an push - DO NOT LET GO OF THE SLED !
Once your weight's gone from the sled the huskies accelerate, and they can run a LOT faster than you can Smiley

The other thing to remember is that if you exercise huskies while riding a bicycle - don't exercise 2 at a time. When they go different sides of a lamppost.....
You get the picture Smiley

Then there are cats.
Micks garden had 12 foot fencing.
Cats aren't just stupid, they are suicidally stupid.

They would actually climb into mick's garden. The only thing the huskies left were the tails. So mick had to go round his neighbours, with a cat's tail asking 'was this your cat ?'
Apparently if one of the huskies was lying on the top of the kennels, from a reclined start it could clear 6 feet in a vertical leap. And cat's are stupid.

Interesting, thanks for the tips CA. Also, that’s quite a funny story Grin

when chris came back to engand after her and mick had split up. My mate used to run the dogs on  a wheeled rig.
Huskie are weird. basically a furry greyhound. way way stronger than their weight would suggest.
Ratman can confirn that.

Even a heavy bugger like me would be pushed to hold 2 on leads, if they saw a cat/squirrel/rabbit -random shape that might be a cat/squirrel/rabbit etc Smiley

That said - racing huskies tend to be a bit more feral than the pet ones.

But you definitely need to have a go.
Just remember, they don't need your help, so STAY with the sledge Smiley

Yell GEE to go right and HAW to go left.

When my dad had his first go - he was young and fast back then - Mick told him what to shout to make them slow down.
What he actually told him was the 'go faster' comand.

We were waiting at the end of the trail. Damn they were shifting !

It was mick who was on the bike when the lamppost intervened.

Huskies were bred to pull for over three thousand years. They can pull. They are relentless.
