Great article. With my new found love of whittling wooden needles and the bits and pieces of wood carving I've done, I completely understand what the author is talking about. There is something primal about fashioning wood into a particular shape for a particular purpose.

Thank you for posting that Thearos. I've always loved woodworking. Wood, trees and nature make sense to me. Every tree and plant has different uses and mechanical properties. Different smells and textures. Nature is beautiful.
