Creepy Stuff around my House
Dec 17th, 2017 at 12:24am

I live in a Rural neighborhood with mountains just behind my house. There have been a couple incidences like where my cousin and I saw on different occasions a tall hunched dark figure staring through my bedroom window while sleeping in there (He saw it first a while back, I then see the same thing days after). Also some creepy noises like a while back; seemingly a creature screaming off in the distance. Or more recently when I heard a feminine sigh as I was chopping wood.

Could be just boring normal stuff. But I kinda like to think it's something spooky, lol, perhaps hopefully not a skinwalker or wendigo.  Wink

I found a large den on a ridge while exploring the forest this week.
It's quite a large opening and the scrub around it made me think it was either a large monitor lizard or a fox den.
But I also like to imagine it as the infamous "nanup tiger".
Many many years ago a few large cats (I believe a panther and a tiger but this is one of those stories) escaped an enclosure in a town about 1 and a half hours away.
They're were never recovered
And there has been people with sighting
Story goes there still out there in the forest.

Question- were you in bed when you saw them? There's a phenomena called sleep paralysis  where people see strange figures.

I actually currently live in a haunted 300 year old house.  Weird stuff happens all the time. I have lived in mutiple haunted houses,  and places I worked. I think the weirdest thing that happened was about a year ago.  I was taking care of my snakes,  i.have 7 that I breed and sell. I.was bent over about to take one out of the tank,  when something grabbed my buttocks with a very hard grip and squeezed.  I jumped.  Turned around, my gf was in the opposite side of tge room,  over 10 ft away.

Neat story.  Nothing spooky much around me.

I do have five species of poisonous snakes, alligators, feral hogs, various poisonous spiders, bobcats, coyotes and possibly bears and cougars but no ghosts.

I feel ripped off.   Cry

My dogs ran a bobcat up a tree about three weeks ago, big sucker, looked to be 35-50 pounds.  (15-22 Kg)  He probably could have killed all 4 if he hadn't had a tree handy.  He was way larger than two, about the same size as one and only slightly smaller than the 4th.  Plus, my dogs are pets, not hunters.

I do hear them screaming in the spring during mating season.  They sound just like a woman being killed by someone with an ax.

So the window this tall hunched figure is looking in, is it on the second floor? If not you are probably ok. Bigfoot generally doesn't open windows and Mothman is usually on the east coast this time of year.

I've seen some weird stuff myself. Just enough that I find it hard to dismiss others experiences out of hand.

Here's an interesting little story from Porterville which is a town in central Calfornia that I used to live in. We only found out about this creature sighting after we left.  Embarrassed

Speaking of moth man, i have been to the town in west Virginia where the sightings began. They even have a statue of it u believe.  Well years before I went to.the town I found our I had native American Heritage.  Chief cornstalk of the Shawnee tribe.  Who is a relative of mine, put the curse of moth man onto the white folks. Due to them kidnapping him abd murdering him. After he spent most of his life helping the colonists.  Very interesting story.

@Morphy, the window is on ground level. It didn't fit with Bigfoot as it was too slender. Almost skeletal perhaps, yet slightly muscular, that's what the silhouette looked like at least.

@slingbadger, yes, but it wasn't sleep paralysis. I was a bit petrified, but I could still move.

You've got deer Smiley

Some of the mating calls of deer can be really bloodcurdling.

Also a deer at the window would fit the silhouette.  Deer are curious critters.

Other critters that make horrible noises at night: foxes, they make a really wide range of weird and horrible noises, apparently so do badgers.

But the worst noise I ever heard was a sika deer in my local woods.
Was walking the dogs, at that time it was Bilbo and Phoenix. Bilbo was the most fearless dog we've ever owned.
Nothing phased him: loved bangs, fireworks, popped balloons. The louder the nouise the more he liked it.
Phoenix was a wimp, didn't expect her to come with me - but Bilbo should have backed me up Smiley

It was dusk and we were in the woods. There was this truly horrible scream, sounded like someone being skinned alive.
The dogs both froze, leaving muggins to go look on my own. And I wasn't all that happy about it.
It's the only time in his life I ever saw Bilbo nervous about a noise.

I've spent the last 35 years knowing the most dangerous thing in the woods at night is me. That night is the only time I ever had any doubts about it, lol
As i got into the undergrowth an animal did bolt about 20 yards away.

Turned out it was a passing sika deer. I say passing as I've not heard it since or before.

Listen to that with your eyes closed and then imagine hearing it, at night, in woodland.
Yeah - scares the crap out of you Smiley

A creature in Native American mythology. They have the ability to turn into any animal they want, but they need to wear the pelt of the animal to do so. The closest thing I can think of in Europe are Selkies.

hardly - selkies are horses made from the foam of waves.
Also people who can turn into seals.

Skinwalkers are very very evil demon like shamans

Nasty and brutal.
