I was trying out the 40mm ball bearing, and figured it would do 4cm concrete. Did a bit better, than I expected.
Bought a 50mm ,2" steel ball, that wieghts 530 grams,or 18.7 ounces. It's a frickin cannonball, and my elbow and shoulder feels it, just by thinking about it  Cheesy
The 40mm BB from the long sling,(120cm)  was messing with the concrete with  comparable effect as 7.62x39 AK rounds. 9mm looks puny on concrete, compared to this.

I've had that experience with the 2 inch ball bearing. It packs a punch but it doesn't take long to really feel it in your arm Cheesy

Recently I discovered a good online shop, where they sell unpolished steel balls,at 1/5th -1/10th the price of steel ball bearings. Bought 15mm ,30mm,35mm 40mm and 50mm BBs.
40mm is 50 cents a piece Shocked

I'll do a destruction vid with the 50mm ball, which weights 530 grams, or ~19 ounces. I'll have to sling it pirouette style ,or else it rips my arm off. Cheesy
It's a frickin cannon ball. A cute cannonball,but still...

I perfectly know that feeling. When you tense all your arm muscles while slinging,so your arm doesn't rip off  Grin

thank you for making slinging videos, i really enjoy them  Wink

i feel the need to comment on the style you used on the video.
it is pirouette start with sidearm release. the problem is when you bent your elbow(0:15-0:17) and the throw becomes like regular sidearm, in pirouette you can handle heavy projectiles that you cannot handle in a sidearm style, so transferring from straight armed to bend armed you load your arm(scapula) with too much force .your arm's capabilities in that position brake the angular momentum of the body that was build up during the pirouette.you probably felt it yourself . which can lead to injury.
if you do the same style with lighter ammo(that you would use in sidearm) then it's okay.
but for heavy loads do it straight armed with slightly bent elbow.
watch closely timpa's videos for better detail.
