I don’t know if this as happened to any of y’all, but I found it cool, a bit of a rock that hit my target broke off the main price and embedded itself in the metal. Anyone else have any similar things happen?

I've been exploding limestone on granite recently .
Lots of fun and a horrible reminder with the marks they leave of how bad my grouping is with odd shaped rough light rocks.

Most of the rocks I've used have been tougher than the target pan I use. I'm not entirely sure what they are and they might vary but I think they're granite. There is quite a lot of granite in Finland so it's the most likely one.

I've never stuck one in metal but when throwing rocks at rotten logs, they sometimes stick.

Also never done the metal thing. I had to stop using wood as a target because it would pick up pieces of stone from your ammo and then crack the next shot when it hits where the stone is embedded.

I've hit trees with stones, and had the stone bounce back at almost the same trajectory.

Like several of the other members I've had stones embed in wood but never in metal that I can recall.
