I got this idea from my brother. Slinging little airborn guys..Has anyone tried this? Think it'll work okay?

That could work. They never usually travelled that far if memory serves but I guess with more power from a sling they could.

Interesting idea. I've been a plastic parachute men since the 60's.

I’ve taken the little parachutes from “star cluster” type parachute flares and tied them to rocks for slinging. I had to be sure and match the direction of wrap with the direction of my spiral, or rifle spin, because if you don’t spin it in the direction it’s wrapped it will open almost immediately after exiting the pouch.

Thanks for the advice! Did the wrap need to be going in the same direction as the spin or across?
