Not really buy,  maybe test out. It's an interesting design, I am curious about.

Who knows maybe you can buy one of the prototypes for cheap if he has no future plans for them. Or at least convince him to let you beta test it.

That's what I am hoping for, I have a very spunky 70lb 10 month old puppy that would give it a workout.  Lol, and I can run it through some tests.

okay after some thought, few issues.
The pouch slides, so getting it perfectly level or centered is going to be an ongoing issue.

Had thought that if you added a third cord along the centre, you could then braid the three at either end of the pouch. keeping it centred and getting rid of the parallel cord issue. Which also means you could have a decent adjsutable fingerloop.

Seem's like a lot of work though Smiley

Another approach would be to simply knot the cord at ether end of the pouch.
Quicker and simpler.
If you don't lock the pouch in place then it'll slide and the cord will wear through the channels, it'll do that anyway, but probably less if the pouch stays centred.

I think, just out of curiosity I might make one.

Cool. It'll be interesting to hear the story of how this project came about and how he took it over.

Ditto.

My biggest question is how he plans to market it. The sling is tough in that sense. Way too difficult for the average sportsman to bother with and for those who actually have the determination (or in my case being too foolish to know when to give up) we tend be the kind of people who prefer to make our own slings.

But if he can find or create a niche who knows. Might make some money.

I like the pouch. The rest of the sling doesn't appeal to me though.

I think buddy def took a stab st the handmade market going on about other materials being weaker..... I've made slings that will outlast all of us from cheap materials.

CA- I am glad this thread popped up. I can't help but notice it's quite similar to the one I sent you. It would be fun to see how they stack up against one another. If you ever feel like experimenting with it, I would be interested in the results.

The chot/sling golf guys are the only others I know who went the full commercial route for sling manufacture.
They seem to have sunk without trace, which is a shame.

Well just got off the phone to elliot. Amazing how fast an hour can pass.
And no, unfortunately he doesn't have any of the sample slings (you know me, I'll try and scrounge anything).

You guys are going to like him Smiley
He's more than capable of introducing himself, so that's all I'm saying whistle
