Quote:The project is currently being redirected from the injection molded solution shown here to provide additional education and empowerment to the user and to accommodate the small size of this currently non-existent market. This new direction re-envisions the device as a kit for creating a braided sling. Each kit will include a detailed set of illustrated braiding instructions, an assortment of cut-to-length paracord, and a small book describing the history and use of the throwing sling.
No 3d printing involved - he went the traditional and expensive route.
Prototypes were done in silicone.
I'm guessing most of his material came from here - one reason to avoid us lol.
The image - for the hard of reading - is the oldest known image of a slinger from catal hyuk in turkey and is around 9000 years old.
I actually like the design of the pouch, not that keen on the 2 parallel cord approach. That said it would make the pouch more durable as cord connection is where I'm having issues with longer usage printed slings.
I will have a play
It would work quite well for the pattern tomas sent me. Tubes along the edge for 2 mm paracord.
Yeah that could work.
It would print easy enough even with the flexible filament.
Just what i needed - another bloody project lol
