Most of my slinging is done while dog walking so I generally shot at targets of opportunity. Stumps, bushes, metal signs, phone polls, etc..

I only sling now when I walk the dog as well, I have a 10 month old pup. We just play fetch for the time being. I have never had the opportunity to set up.a target. Hopefully soon I will be able to set one up. When.i.get out of the house, I go to a local park. 'Red Bank battlefield and sling into tge river. Ray man should know where I am talking about.

All kinds of targets. I have a nice place to sling,10 min. walk to,from where I live. They throw garbage there
So,I just pick my targets from there, destroy them ,and throw them back in the pile..

@Ratman, only issue at that park is no dogs allowed. I haven't been there in a few months. Has great river rocks, just gotta be aware of the tide. High tide, you can't even get down to the 'beach area'. But I been taking my pup to at dog park in blackwood. Called 'Timber Creek' it's almost 9 acres wooded and fenced off. In 2 maybe 3 different areas. We go there almost every Sunday weather permitting, and they have a large small pond they can swim in. I usually sling there when it's slow, abd not many dogs.
