I've played a lot of chess and a lot of mtg .
Mtg is fun if you play with people that arnt going to spend every cent making decks. Gone through many phases playing mtg, currently I'm over it but it always come back out every few years.
As for chess , best game ever, a real battle of minds. The fact that it starts in the same spot every time and has no luck involved except the luck of lack of skill makes it boring for some. For me it's the same as slinging, gotta keep playing to get better there's no shortcuts and there's always something new to learn. Also why I'm an arborist.

    Experimenting is the best way to find out what works and what doesn't and what works best.
   I've made slings of ever sort from every possible material in ever thickness and length imaginable.  I've made double barrel slings, snowball slings with giant pouches, and even skeletonized slings.  Keep on experimenting.
