I know already what you wanted to say, because you said it:

Now I'm not saying balls of tungsten are frizzbees but I'm trying to point out that there are more factors at play.
These "factors" now are NOT at play because first added by you or your speculation, after I had explained, that they (*) have to stay out if you want to throw / slinging for longest distances.
Larrys throw or stone can't be flown further caused by spin, lift or magnus effect. But it can be flown further caused by higher density (or less drag).
So that distances that was named the "maxima for reach" by JudoP and was sorted to speciall muzzle speeds STAY THE MAXIMA (that can be nearly achieved only by using the most densitiy ammo)!

* a view weeks ago I used the word "Vögel" like engl.: "birdies" - but that is the plural. The german singular is "vogel" (bird). But golfer does the same name using totally different from my using.
Such "vögel" or stones with lift - repectively the LIFT - first helps if you want to throw FAR, BUT NOT SO HIGH at the same time. So the lift is the best alternative to the very steep angle of 43°, but not the better solution for reaching the highest range. If you had to throw in a (very long) hall or under a bridge, than try the most possible longest distance with a "birdie" or lift, becauss that could compensate the missed height in (at?) free acting-space.
How to throw (steep or flat) is also a question of the intended "impact angle". Right?
