In all seriousness but , where’s the machinist/turner fitter of The forum.
Surely someone out there can make some pretty serious hunting glandes , I like Shiney brass ones please, or modular glandes you can interchange parts from .

There is and, thanks to decades of cars passing by, platinum can be found on the sides of roads. It's in very small quantities but it's there.

Yes sir.  My converter was ripped out of my car a few weeks ago by some thieves. Joke is on them though, it wasn't functioning properly anymore and all they did was get my insurance to replace it for a lower cost to me than it would have been otherwise...

Dang, I was going to link the video to Cody's Lab, but the article you shared already did it.

Rich kids nowadays with their solid platinum razor glandes. Grin Roll Eyes

Out of curiosity, do we even know what a real razor glande is supposed to look like? Is there an established method of constructing them, or is it kind of just an oral tradition?

I've always thought that they looked kinda like this - Basically a biconical with a serrated edge attached, somehow.

My make believe razor glandes have retractable blades that spring into action as it hits the target bear in the eye. Historically razor glandes are more or less what you’ve pictured

Jlasud made some razor glandes but didn't provide much info on them. They look wickedly dangerous. The original Cypriot razor glandes are interesting as they don't have points (at least not anymore but it looks like they were never pointed).

I’m visualizing razor glandes with mechanical broadhead. Not any safer to use but I bet they would fly like a dream.

Give me a few months Mersa. I may be able to do something about that.

I do!  Wink

I've picked up a few more since last sharing, here are my 8 original ancient Cypriot bladed bullets (Razor Glandes  Grin) 5 are complex composite projectiles with the lead body cast around the copper-alloy blade portion, and indeed I've succeeded in maintaining my monopoly on the bimetallic bullets for now, haha! 3 are solid copper alloy, easier to create but materially more expensive, with the front center one being the "pointiest" and most similar to what y'all may be envisioning. I can provide measurements/weights if interested. I wouldn't mind clarification but have pieced together a likely date of early 5th century BC for these obscure projectiles.

Too hard to melt my friend, but how about some solid sterling silver glandes?  Cool

I bought a nice authentic-style fired clay mold from jlasud a few years ago, shipped from Transylvania to the USA no problems, but had only made lead bullets until recently. While melting down lots of sterling for refining (glory days for us Silver stackers right now!!) I figured "Why the heck not?!!" The mold held up well under the high heat and while most didn't fill the mold before setting I got some good ones. Now I'm prepared for Werewolves!  Grin
